Over a long weekend, communications director Pierre Frey explores guided ocean tours in Biarritz, southeastern France.

In 1935, the rue des Petits-Champs, in the heart of Paris, was the founding place for Pierre Frey – specialized in upholstery fabrics that soon became the most important in France. Today, 85 years later, the Maison Pierre Frey headquarters remains in the same spot, but the brand continues making its mark throughout the world.

He is the founder’s grandson, Pierre Frey, who, alongside his brothers, Vincent and Matthieu, and his father, Patrick, continues to lead the company. When he’s not busy as Director of Communication, Pierre loves to travel with his family – especially to places where he can be around nature. Last summer, he spent a long weekend with his wife, Emilie, in Biarritz, in southeastern France – an area where surfing and the ocean are the mainstays of the itinerary.
