Instalado em um cen\u00e1rio que j\u00e1 recebeu membros da realeza europeia, magnatas e figuras da alta sociedade que chegavam de iate \u00e0 costa siciliana, o Villa Igiea carrega um legado que remonta ao auge da fam\u00edlia Florio, no final do s\u00e9culo XIX. Constru\u00eddo em 1900, o pal\u00e1cio em estilo Art Nouveau tornou-se um dos grandes s\u00edmbolos da Belle \u00c9poque no Mediterr\u00e2neo, tendo recebido nomes como o czar Nicolau II da R\u00fassia, o rei Eduardo VII do Reino Unido e o financista J.P. Morgan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ap\u00f3s uma extensa renova\u00e7\u00e3o conduzida pela Rocco Forte Hotels, o hotel inicia um novo cap\u00edtulo ao preservar sua heran\u00e7a hist\u00f3rica enquanto incorpora uma leitura contempor\u00e2nea do luxo. A reinterpreta\u00e7\u00e3o dos interiores, assinada por Olga Polizzi em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o Nicholas Haslam Studios, parte da pr\u00f3pria arquitetura do edif\u00edcio e do estilo de vida da fam\u00edlia Florio, criando uma est\u00e9tica que equilibra eleg\u00e2ncia cl\u00e1ssica e identidade siciliana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os 72 quartos e 28 su\u00edtes, todos decorados individualmente, refletem essa atmosfera. Pap\u00e9is de parede feitos \u00e0 m\u00e3o, m\u00f3veis hist\u00f3ricos, tecidos nobres e uma paleta inspirada na paisagem local, com tons de \u00e2mbar, hibisco, rom\u00e3 e verde-s\u00e1lvia, constroem um ambiente que transita entre tradi\u00e7\u00e3o e frescor. Nas su\u00edtes com vista para o mar, pe\u00e7as originais do s\u00e9culo XIX dividem espa\u00e7o com terra\u00e7os privativos voltados para o p\u00f4r do sol sobre o Tirreno.Entre elas, a Donna Franca Suite se destaca como a acomoda\u00e7\u00e3o mais emblem\u00e1tica. Com 144 m\u00b2 de \u00e1rea interna e um terra\u00e7o de 96 m\u00b2, a su\u00edte homenageia Donna Franca Florio, figura ic\u00f4nica da Belle \u00c9poque, conhecida por sua presen\u00e7a nos c\u00edrculos mais exclusivos da Europa. A experi\u00eancia combina arte local, antiguidades, refer\u00eancias mar\u00edtimas e uma atmosfera que traduz o esp\u00edrito da \u00e9poca em linguagem contempor\u00e2nea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A gastronomia refor\u00e7a o v\u00ednculo com a cultura local.
