H\u00e1 seis anos, Laura Harrier<\/a><\/strong>, a atriz conhecida por seus pap\u00e9is em Infiltrado na Klan<\/a><\/strong> and Homem-Aranha: De Volta ao Lar<\/a><\/strong>, estava procurando algu\u00e9m que a ajudasse a comprar e mobiliar sua primeira casa em Los Angeles. Em algum ponto do processo, a rela\u00e7\u00e3o profissional se transformou em uma conversa criativa, e a conversa se transformou em um ponto de vista.<\/span>\n\n\n\nO Cole\u00e7\u00e3o Howell x Harrier<\/a><\/strong> A cole\u00e7\u00e3o para a Crate and Barrel, lan\u00e7ada nesta primavera, traduz essa sensibilidade compartilhada em oitenta e sete pe\u00e7as de mobili\u00e1rio, ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o, t\u00eaxteis e objetos decorativos. O registro emocional vem do cinema cl\u00e1ssico, especificamente do mundo material da Los Angeles do in\u00edcio dos anos 1970, quando o design de interiores no cinema servia como uma forma de desenvolvimento de personagens: as cores, texturas e m\u00f3veis de um c\u00f4modo indicavam quem morava ali antes mesmo de uma \u00fanica linha de di\u00e1logo ser dita. Pense nos apartamentos em Shampoo de Hal Ashby (1975)<\/a><\/strong> ou os espa\u00e7os dom\u00e9sticos em Robert Altman O Longo Adeus (1973)<\/a><\/strong>, interiores onde cada superf\u00edcie carregava informa\u00e7\u00f5es psicol\u00f3gicas.<\/span>\n\n\n\nA paleta de cores \u00e9 composta por tons de tabaco, cobre e creme, quentes sem serem adocicados, vibrantes sem serem pesados. Os materiais foram escolhidos por suas qualidades t\u00e1teis. Madeira de nogueira, apreciada desde o per\u00edodo Art D\u00e9co por seus padr\u00f5es de veios imprevis\u00edveis. Laca, aplicada em camadas que exigem tempo de cura e acabamento manual. Vidro soprado, cujas ligeiras irregularidades distinguem cada pe\u00e7a da sua vizinha. Veludo cotel\u00ea de trama larga, um tecido cuja textura canelada absorve a luz em vez de refletir, produzindo uma superf\u00edcie que parece diferente a cada hora do dia. Tecido de fibra natural, usado em paredes e superf\u00edcies desde a d\u00e9cada de 1950, quando os designers de meados do s\u00e9culo descobriram sua capacidade de adicionar calor e dimens\u00e3o a superf\u00edcies planas.<\/span>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\nDiversas pe\u00e7as apresentam refer\u00eancias de design espec\u00edficas. O sof\u00e1 do sal\u00e3o<\/a><\/strong>, Estofada em veludo cotel\u00ea de trama larga, apresenta curvas em uma silhueta org\u00e2nica, semelhante a um feij\u00e3o, que remete \u00e0s curvas sensuais das joias e do design dos anos 1970. A vaidade do cinema<\/a><\/strong>, Com acabamento em laca creme e espelho redondo, evoca as mesas de maquilhagem dos est\u00fadios cl\u00e1ssicos de Hollywood, objetos funcionais que se tornaram s\u00edmbolos de autopresenta\u00e7\u00e3o e ritual. O lustre Valsa<\/a><\/strong> A pe\u00e7a apresenta formas de folhas de ginkgo em vidro colorido, um motivo bot\u00e2nico com longa hist\u00f3ria nas artes decorativas.
