August 26 was marked by the celebration of a prominent figure in national fashion at Shopping Cidade Jardim. The evening served as the stage for the opening of the unprecedented exhibition \u201cConrado Segreto, Now and Always,\u201d an initiative by the CAROL BASSI brand honoring designer Conrado Segreto, one of the greatest names in Brazilian fashion of the late \u201980s and early \u201990s. The event is part of the \u201cCarol Bassi visits Conrado Segreto\u201d project, which offers a comprehensive tribute to the artist\u2019s work, and featured a runway show of the exclusive collection inspired by his work, this time created by his niece, Julia Segreto.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Voluminous parkas, a mix of textures, Pied de Poule, animal print, bows, a bold composition of colors such as pink and black, and black & white were elements used by Julia Segreto to reinterpret her uncle\u2019s work on the runway that connects Shopping Cidade Jardim to Usina S\u00e3o Paulo on Marginal Pinheiros on last Wednesday night. The event showcased 31 looks and featured special appearances by Claudia Liz, Silvia Pfeifer, and Alessandra Berriel\u2014personalities who have previously walked in Conrado\u2019s shows. The conception and direction were by Pazetto Events, styling was by Davi Ramos and Flavia Pommianosky, beauty by Daniel Hernandez, and the soundtrack by Mura.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CAROL BASSI\u2019s celebration of Conrado went down as its largest cultural initiative. The project, launched by Caio Campos and Anna Carolina Bassi, the brand\u2019s founders, will remain open until September 7 and features an interactive format via a QR code through which visitors can access videos, images, and supporting texts, allowing an immersion in the designer\u2019s creative universe.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As part of its collection, the exhibition \u201cConrado Segreto, Now and Always,\u201d conceived by Pazetto Events, includes original looks, sketches, illustrations, and photographs, demonstrating the designer\u2019s timeless relevance. It is located in the Atrium of Shopping Cidade Jardim, the circuit\u2019s central point, with an extension in the Carol Bassi store, which showcases an audiovisual work by fashion journalist Ant\u00f4nia Petta, containing a compilation of testimonials dedicated to the artist. The store also features a gallery with reinterpretations of Conrado\u2019s work by students from Belas Artes, and another location on the university campus houses the creative processes and research carried out by Digital Social Media and Fashion Design students for the exhibition.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Conrado was a S\u00e3o Paulo\u2013born designer (160-1992) who, despite a brief eight-year career, left a profound mark on Brazilian fashion. The artist, ahead of his time, created a distinctive signature, breaking with the status quo of the era. His figure is a reminder of Brazil\u2019s avant-garde history through Brazilian fashion imbued with workshop spirit and emotion, portraying him as a true couturier of our nation.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To the sound of \u201cSangue Latino,\u201d a song by the group Secos & Molhados that emerged from Brazil\u2019s 1970s counterculture<\/a> movement, the runway show concluded, matching Conrado\u2019s genius in work that also broke with the status quo, ending<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
