LM: A primeira pergunta \u00e9: como voc\u00ea se sente tendo a Breitling como parte da sua vida pessoal e sendo seu embaixador?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC<\/b><\/span><\/span>\u00c9 uma honra fazer parte de uma marca com um legado e uma hist\u00f3ria t\u00e3o incr\u00edveis \u2014 trata-se de legado, de criar algo atemporal e da jornada que leva \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o de rel\u00f3gios bel\u00edssimos. Criar rel\u00f3gios \u00e9 uma arte, da mesma forma que se cria arte com o corpo, por isso me sinto muito honrado em fazer parte da Breitling e de sua trajet\u00f3ria at\u00e9 aqui.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LM: E como voc\u00ea acha que incorporaria a narrativa \u00e0 sua dan\u00e7a?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> \u00c9 parte intr\u00ednseca do que eu fa\u00e7o. Treinamos a t\u00e9cnica por anos, dia ap\u00f3s dia, porque \u00e9 uma linguagem de <\/span><\/span>contar hist\u00f3rias<\/i><\/span><\/span>. Isso nos d\u00e1 as ferramentas necess\u00e1rias para comunicar a hist\u00f3ria sem palavras \u2014 e essa \u00e9 a minha parte favorita do meu trabalho. Claro, adoro os aspectos t\u00e9cnicos, pois fazem parte do nosso dia a dia, mas, no fim das contas, tudo \u00e9 uma ferramenta para subir ao palco e me apresentar, e \u00e9 isso que mais me d\u00e1 prazer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Estou realmente ansioso pelas apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es incr\u00edveis e surpreendentes que teremos esta noite.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LM: Qual considera ser a maior conquista da sua carreira?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Olhando para tr\u00e1s, tenho a sensa\u00e7\u00e3o de que o bal\u00e9 n\u00e3o estava ao meu alcance e, considerando todas as oportunidades que tive gra\u00e7as ao bal\u00e9, \u00e9 dif\u00edcil escolher apenas uma coisa.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tornar-se bailarina principal, ser a primeira mulher negra a alcan\u00e7ar esse feito no <\/span><\/span>American Ballet Theatre<\/i><\/span><\/span>, \u00e9 uma delas. Estar numa posi\u00e7\u00e3o em que posso usar minha voz e minha plataforma para compartilhar a incr\u00edvel hist\u00f3ria de mulheres negras no bal\u00e9, que nem sempre \u00e9 contada.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

E, claro, estar ao lado de pessoas incr\u00edveis e ter parcerias fant\u00e1sticas como essa. Dan\u00e7arinos geralmente n\u00e3o t\u00eam as mesmas oportunidades que muitos atores, atrizes ou atletas profissionais. \u00c9 surreal pensar em tudo o que tive a oportunidade de fazer e, espero, servir de exemplo e mostrar que artistas t\u00eam um impacto t\u00e3o poderoso quanto outras pessoas que recebem essas oportunidades, ent\u00e3o espero n\u00e3o ser a \u00faltima a estar nessa posi\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LM: Como voc\u00ea consegue manter um estilo de vida saud\u00e1vel com tudo o que faz, com uma vida agitada e sendo uma bailarina principal?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Tem muito a ver com o que venho fazendo desde os 13 anos, com a disciplina que envolve ser bailarina. Usamos nosso corpo como um instrumento e precisamos cuidar bem dele. Existem muitos clich\u00eas no mundo do bal\u00e9, como dist\u00farbios alimentares e tantas outras coisas, mas, no fim das contas, somos atletas e precisamos estar saud\u00e1veis para termos uma carreira longa e bem-sucedida.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Para mim, trata-se de ouvir meu corpo e trat\u00e1-lo com respeito, porque \u00e9 isso que me permite atuar e expressar minha arte. Tudo na minha vida me levou a este ponto, a entender o qu\u00e3o importante \u00e9 ser saud\u00e1vel, especialmente sendo m\u00e3e de primeira viagem.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A import\u00e2ncia de me tratar com respeito, porque preciso estar presente para minha fam\u00edlia, ser forte e estar pronta para cuidar e nutrir.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Hoje \u00e9 minha primeira noite longe do meu filho; ele acabou de completar 17 meses, ent\u00e3o, quanto mais velha fico, mais percebo que se voc\u00ea realmente ouvir o seu corpo, ele lhe agradecer\u00e1. N\u00e3o \u00e9 f\u00e1cil, e a fam\u00edlia se torna ainda mais importante quando voc\u00ea tem algu\u00e9m que precisa dos seus cuidados.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

LM: De que forma sua posi\u00e7\u00e3o como figura p\u00fablica lhe permitiu defender mudan\u00e7as sociais e culturais na comunidade do Vale e al\u00e9m?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Tem sido algo muito natural para mim; sendo uma mulher negra e a \u00fanica mulher negra no <\/span><\/span>American Ballet Theatre<\/i><\/span><\/span> Durante os primeiros 10 anos da minha carreira, aprendi a import\u00e2ncia da representatividade, n\u00e3o apenas de ser um corpo no palco, mas tamb\u00e9m de ter uma voz ativa, e isso \u00e9 algo que muitos dan\u00e7arinos n\u00e3o levam em considera\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Artistas e atletas, especialmente dan\u00e7arinos, geralmente n\u00e3o s\u00e3o incentivados a ter voz ou opini\u00e3o, e acredito que o mundo se torna um lugar melhor quando ouvimos o que eles t\u00eam a dizer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Essa tem sido uma parte importante da minha miss\u00e3o: compartilhar minhas experi\u00eancias e as de tantas outras pessoas que vieram antes de mim e que n\u00e3o tiveram as mesmas oportunidades que eu tive como pessoa negra no mundo do bal\u00e9, e \u00e9 algo que sinto que preciso fazer.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

N\u00e3o se trata apenas de ser bailarina, mas de fazer parte de algo maior do que eu mesma; fa\u00e7o parte de um legado incr\u00edvel de bailarinos negros e tenho orgulho de poder falar sobre essas experi\u00eancias.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LM: E voc\u00ea tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 autora, certo?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Sim, e essa \u00e9 outra forma de deixar um legado e ter voz. Tudo est\u00e1 ligado \u00e0 miss\u00e3o de proporcionar mais acesso e oportunidades para participar das artes, especialmente para crian\u00e7as e comunidades carentes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Por meio dos meus livros e de tudo o que escrevo, e h\u00e1 muito mais por vir atrav\u00e9s da minha funda\u00e7\u00e3o, a <\/span><\/span>O<\/i><\/span><\/span> Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Misty Copeland<\/i><\/span><\/span> e minha produtora <\/span><\/span>A vida em<\/i><\/span><\/span> <\/i>Movimento<\/i><\/span><\/span> Produ\u00e7\u00f5es<\/i><\/span><\/span>. Tudo isso com a mesma miss\u00e3o de divulgar, proporcionar oportunidades e acesso \u00e0 dan\u00e7a, especialmente para comunidades carentes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LM: H\u00e1 algo que voc\u00ea gostaria de compartilhar com nossos leitores? Como esta \u00e9 a nossa \u00faltima pergunta, gostaria de saber qual mensagem voc\u00ea gostaria que os leitores da nossa revista \u2014 que come\u00e7aram no Brasil, e especialmente aqueles que a admiram e se inspiram na sua trajet\u00f3ria \u2014 recebessem.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Acho que, no fim das contas, tudo se resume a ser feliz e a ouvir a si mesmo. Trata-se de ter uma rede de apoio ao seu redor, com pessoas em quem voc\u00ea confia, que acreditam em voc\u00ea e te incentivam mesmo nos dias em que voc\u00ea se sente desmotivado. E, seja o que for, acho que todas essas coisas s\u00e3o importantes para que voc\u00ea se valorize e se respeite.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Acho isso muito importante, especialmente para os jovens de hoje, que podem se perder e se deixar levar pelo ru\u00eddo e caos das redes sociais, sentindo que precisam ser ou parecer de uma determinada maneira.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Trata-se de retornar a si mesmo e compreender o poder de ser um indiv\u00edduo, de ter a pr\u00f3pria voz, e que essas coisas s\u00e3o muito mais impactantes e enriquecedoras do que se misturar ao caos do mundo.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

LM: E estou apenas improvisando aqui: como voc\u00ea sente que encontrou sua voz, sua voz pessoal e \u00fanica?<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

MC:<\/b><\/span><\/span> Sinto que usei a dan\u00e7a como uma ferramenta para descobrir minha voz; ela me permitiu conectar-me com meu corpo e minhas for\u00e7as, e isso me guiou em tudo o que fa\u00e7o. A dan\u00e7a foi a base que me deu tudo, que me deu confian\u00e7a, que me permitiu sentir-me bonita em minha pr\u00f3pria individualidade, e \u00e9 por isso que sempre incentivo as pessoas a exporem seus filhos \u2014 e a si mesmas \u2014 \u00e0s artes, \u00e0 m\u00fasica e \u00e0 dan\u00e7a, porque acredito que isso permite que voc\u00ea mergulhe em si mesmo e encontre sua voz.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
