At JK Iguatemi, you can find an exhibition rich in significant meanings, located on the shopping center\u2019s facade, featuring prints from French artist JR\u2019s Inside Out project. The printed portraits that make up the facade depict some of the guests who attended the premiere of \u201cPaper & Glue,\u201d the French artist JR\u2019s documentary that showcases the power of art as transformation, resilience, unity, beauty, and emotion. The event was part of SP-Arte\u2019s VIP programming and took place on the occasion of \u201cO papel da m\u00e3o,\u201d the artist\u2019s first solo exhibition in S\u00e3o Paulo, on display at Galeria Nara Roesler until May 20.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

A major attraction of the day was the presence of the \u201cInside Out Truck\u201d \u2013 a mobile photo booth that arrived in the capital for the first time. Guests were able to take photos and have them instantly printed on a large scale.<\/span><\/p>

JR launched the Inside Out Project in his first TED Talk, after winning the TED Prize on March 2, 2011. Drawing on his own artistic practice for inspiration, he created a participatory platform that helps individuals and communities convey a message through large-scale black-and-white portraits pasted as wheatpaste posters in public spaces. Through these \u201cactions,\u201d communities around the world spark conversations and collaborations.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Over the past 12 years, more than 400,000 people from 148 countries have participated in the project. Thanks to participants’ donations, the project has reached every continent, with over 2,000 actions created. These actions have centered on various themes: diversity, community, feminism, racism, climate change, education, children’s rights, and art are just a few of them.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
