Apesar da minha experi\u00eancia em publicidade, de trabalhar na \u00e1rea e de amar o que fa\u00e7o, a arquitetura e suas facetas me fascinam.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Este \u00e9 um momento de explos\u00e3o criativa; experimentar e misturar s\u00e3o as palavras de ordem, sempre com o mesmo objetivo de criar o seu espa\u00e7o de vida, desde a escolha de um objeto espec\u00edfico at\u00e9 a constru\u00e7\u00e3o de uma atmosfera totalmente personalizada.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

H\u00e1 alguns anos, quando estava mobiliando minha primeira casa, fiquei completamente fascinado por uma ideia chamada Thonet. Talvez voc\u00ea n\u00e3o associe o nome ao objeto, mas com certeza j\u00e1 se sentou para uma refei\u00e7\u00e3o em uma cadeira n\u00ba 14 ou relaxou balan\u00e7ando em uma n\u00ba 04. Ainda n\u00e3o se lembra, n\u00e3o \u00e9?<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Michael Thonet era filho de carpinteiros e desenvolveu uma t\u00e9cnica para curvar madeira maci\u00e7a a vapor (um marco na hist\u00f3ria do design industrial), dando vida a um objeto leve e elegante composto por poucos elementos. Com a ajuda de seus filhos, em 1859, ele apresentou em Viena a cadeira que permanece a mais vendida da hist\u00f3ria; uma pe\u00e7a com apenas seis elementos e seis parafusos.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Originalmente chamada de n\u00ba 14 (hoje \u00e9 a 214 no cat\u00e1logo), a cadeira de "estilo austr\u00edaco" foi encomendada por um caf\u00e9 em Viena. Era perfeita para o estabelecimento porque, al\u00e9m das caracter\u00edsticas j\u00e1 mencionadas, seu tecido de palhinha perfurado evitava respingos de caf\u00e9. A produ\u00e7\u00e3o era r\u00e1pida, barata e logisticamente muito simples; 36 cadeiras cabiam em uma caixa de apenas 1 m\u00b2, o que acelerou exponencialmente as vendas, e em 1930 mais de 50 milh\u00f5es de unidades j\u00e1 estavam em uso em todo o mundo.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

O estilo Thonet foi al\u00e9m das cadeiras convencionais, moldando tamb\u00e9m cadeiras de balan\u00e7o, bancos e mesas.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Mas, voltando ao meu desejo de misturar \u00e9pocas, texturas e cores sem seguir um manual, acho que nunca mais conseguirei viver em uma casa sem uma pe\u00e7a da Thonet. Sinto que elas s\u00e3o atemporais e que, apesar de terem mais de 160 anos, trazem frescor a qualquer ambiente. Hoje, em casa, s\u00e3o as cadeiras n\u00ba 14 de \u00e9bano com palhinha clara que circundam a mesa de jantar branca Saarinen com tampo Pigu\u00e8s \u2014 o encontro da Viena de 1859 com a Finl\u00e2ndia de 1956.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
