LM:<\/strong> Luisa, your story began in 2012. Today you have 708 thousand subscribers on YouTube and almost 900 thousand followers on Instagram, and that number keeps growing. You share tips on fashion, beauty, travel, lifestyle, and much more, having garnered over 82 million views. What drives your desire to share your life? To bring the world of travel to people? To show different ways of living? Tell us a bit about it.<\/em>
L: <\/strong>I always say that my greatest passion isn\u2019t even fashion, as many people believe, nor travel: I love communicating, I consider myself a communicator, and since I was little I had this need to communicate.

Through my work, I\u2019m now able to do that and reach a huge audience. What drives me more and more, after so many years in this profession, is truly the possibility of bringing something good into people\u2019s lives.

My content closely follows the phases I\u2019m living. There was a period when I focused more on fashion, another when I focused on travel, and I flooded everyone with tips on those topics. Now I\u2019m in a more home-oriented phase: newly married, pregnant, preparing for a baby\u2019s arrival, and my content reflects these stages.

I feel my followers grow and mature \u2014 they experience many of the same phases I do. I\u2019m someone who loves studying and reading, and I always try to bring that to my audience. That\u2019s why I share well-researched, well-grounded information, but always in a fun and light way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

LM:<\/strong> We saw on your channel a variety of on-trend looks and some of your latest purchases. Is there a piece you’re especially in love with lately? Tell us a bit more about your wardrobe.<\/em>
L: <\/strong>I admit I\u2019m in a less consumerist phase, you know? A bit more practical. Once you become a mother, you often put practicality first. I still love dressing well\u2014I always bring fashion insights into my looks, especially for the more fashion-forward pieces. But I\u2019ve been balancing practicality more in my routine.

The last bag I bought, which I even reviewed on YouTube, was a Neverfull by Louis Vuitton\u2014a more basic bag, not so fashion-forward, which if someone had mentioned it to me a year or two ago, I wouldn\u2019t have felt the desire to buy. But it meets my needs perfectly these days. So I think fashion is not only about what\u2019s trending, but about classic pieces that make sense and fit into your daily life.

That\u2019s something I also try to convey to my followers: the idea that you can pursue what you want in a way that makes sense for your needs and your reality.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

LM:<\/strong> Okay, you might think we\u2019re a bit stalkers, but we have to ask: we saw you were reading Sally Rooney\u2019s Beautiful World, Where Are You. What other books would you recommend to our followers?<\/em>
L: <\/strong>I love reading; it\u2019s one of my great passions, and I run a book club on my Instagram\u2014a page dedicated solely to reading. Every month I recommend a book, and this month\u2019s pick is Long and Clear River. It has a mystery, but the main focus is the relationship between two very different sisters; it explores family, family bonds, and delves into how drugs affect a family. It\u2019s a really, really good book.

Another book I always recommend is Painful Elegance\u2014it has a hint of existentialism and philosophy\u2014and also The Elegance of the Hedgehog, which is one of my favorite books, very enjoyable and interesting to read.

LM:<\/em><\/strong> As a Beauty Vlogger, what can\u2019t be missing from your routine for you to feel ready to leave the house?<\/em>
L: <\/strong>I\u2019m very low-maintenance\u2014I don\u2019t mind leaving the house without makeup and I\u2019m using fewer products overall. But I really love skincare; I always focus on taking care of my skin, which I think is the most important. As for makeup, I enjoy a bit of lipstick, lip gloss or lip balm, and a touch of blush to give a healthy glow. With those things, I feel ready to go out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

LM:<\/em><\/strong> Of all your destinations, which one made you feel most like part of the local population? In which city did you feel like a resident, even though you weren\u2019t? And if you can share, what practices do you think foster that immersion? Visiting small restaurants; attending local events; staying in an Airbnb?<\/em>
L: <\/strong>The place where I feel most at home is Italy; it\u2019s a place I visit often with my family, my honeymoon was there, and I have Italian citizenship, so it feels like home. But whenever I travel, I seek local experiences, you know?

I love Asia; I\u2019ve visited several countries there, and one thing I highly recommend is doing a food tour, which we always do when we go to a new country. We look for typical dishes, street food, and in Asia they do it amazingly. That way, you step off the typical tourist path and have more experiences with locals \u2014 you see how people really live day to day, what they do.

I have an immense connection to cuisine; I think it really reflects a country\u2019s culture, and I highly recommend food tours because they open many doors and allow you to encounter the country\u2019s reality.

LM:<\/strong> Your wedding took place recently, and congratulations again from all of us. After the event, what changed for you? How do you feel now?<\/em>
L:<\/strong> Our wedding celebration had to be postponed a bit because of the pandemic, so we\u2019d already been married civilly for some time and were living the married life, haha. I found out I was pregnant five days before the wedding celebration, so it was a whirlwind of emotions, but I think there\u2019s a reason for wedding rituals and parties.

Many people don\u2019t see the point, but for me and my husband, it made a huge difference\u2014it was a ritual. After that celebration, we felt even more united, even more like a family. Celebrating alongside our dearest friends and family was very special, an afternoon we will remember for the rest of our lives as one of the happiest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
