Although they were constantly working on changes and innovations, it was not until 1956 that the Jacuzzi was officially invented. At that time, one of C\u00e2ndido Jacuzzi\u2019s children developed rheumatoid arthritis in childhood, and to reduce the consequences of the disease on his body, hydrotherapy treatment was necessary. This is what motivated the brothers to create their next invention. The main goal of the new project was to produce a targeted water jet that would massage specific areas, and it worked!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But although this first invention mainly came from C\u00e2ndido, it was actually Roy Jacuzzi who recognized its potential for leisure and not just for treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a tribute to the Roman bathhouses, he created the first hot tub and named it the Roman Bath Jacuzzi, which was received by customers as an absolute success, and this was the first time the family name was attached to a company product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of Jacuzzi began in 1907, when brothers Frank, Valeriano, Rachele, C\u00e2ndido, Giocondo, Gelindo and Joseph Jacuzzi<\/a> decided to move from Italy to California, specifically to the city of Berkeley.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In 1915, the Italian brothers founded the Jacuzzi Bros brand, which initially aimed to test their creative skills and develop innovative products. At that time, they had a strong interest in hydraulic and thermodynamic engineering. As a result, the family was responsible for revolutionizing much of the agricultural pumps in the U.S. and the aeronautics industry with some of their inventions. The brothers are still honored today at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum for designing the first enclosed monoplane.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
