Following an extensive renovation led by Rocco Forte Hotels, the property enters a new chapter, preserving its historic character while embracing a contemporary vision of luxury. The interiors, reimagined by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Nicholas Haslam Studios, draw from the building\u2019s architecture and the Florio family\u2019s lifestyle, resulting in an aesthetic that balances classic elegance with a distinctly Sicilian identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 72 rooms and 28 suites, each individually designed, reflect this atmosphere. Handcrafted wallpaper, historic furnishings, rich textiles, and a palette inspired by the surrounding landscape-amber, hibiscus, pomegranate, and sage green-create spaces that feel both timeless and fresh. In the sea-facing suites, original 19th-century pieces sit alongside private terraces overlooking the Tyrrhenian sunset. Among them, the Donna Franca Suite stands out as the hotel\u2019s most iconic accommodation. Spanning 144 square meters, with an additional 96-square-meter private terrace, the suite pays tribute to Donna Franca Florio, a Belle \u00c9poque icon known for her presence within Europe\u2019s most exclusive social circles. The space brings together local artworks, carefully selected antiques, and subtle maritime references, translating the spirit of the era into a contemporary hospitality experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dining further deepens the connection to local culture. At Florio restaurant, led by chef Fulvio Pierangelini, the cuisine is rooted in refined simplicity and ingredient-driven quality.
